Óskar Bjartmarsson is an Icelandic tenor active in both opera and concert performance. A former student of the Sigurður Demetz School of Singing, he studied under the renowned Icelandic tenor Kristján Jóhannsson and has been steadily building a diverse operatic repertoire.
In 2024, he was awarded first place in the advanced category of the Vox Domini competition. That same year, he sang the role of the Count in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville at Schloss Beugen with Opera Classica Europa.
Recent roles include Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème and Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with La Musica Lirica in Italy. He has also appeared in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, Strauss II’s Eine Nacht in Venedig, and a modern Icelandic opera.
